Kevin De Bruyne still does not know why Jose Mourinho froze him out at Chelsea
Kevin De Bruyne is a Belgian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg. He left Stamford Bridge in January last year and moved to the Bundesliga in January 2014 for £18m. With his brilliant performance he helped Wolfsburg to the German Cup and second in the Bundesliga this season. His outstanding performances have attracted interest from Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain.
De Bruyne was voted as the Bundesliga’s player of the season by the German newspaper Kicker. He is now believed to be valued at around £50m by Wolfsburg. The only question that he hs been pondering is why his game-time at Stamford Bridge was so limited?
He joined Chelsea from Racing Genk for £6.7m in 2012. He merely made only three Premier League appearances and he still does not know why Jose Mourinho froze him out at Chelsea.
“I still don’t understand why José Mourinho let me leave. I never discussed it with him. I started to play and then it was finished,” he said.
