Mourinho finally got his smile back after his side gave 4-0 defeat to Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Chelsea responded to their worst league start with a comfortable win in their Champions League opener against Maccabi Tel Aviv. Chelsea defeated Maccabi Tel Aviv 4-0 hence become only English side to win their Champions League game this weekend.
In the opening minutes of the game Chelsea looked a bit pressurized as Hazard missed a Penalty awarded to Chelsea in 5th minute of the game. Willian relieved the pressure and opened for Chelsea in 15th minute with a free kick from from 35 yards. After that goal Chelsea haven’t looked back and kept trying harder to get to Maccabi’s net.
It was just at the end of first half that Oscar made it 2 for Chelsea after converting Penalty in a way Hazard normally does, strolls up and waits for the keeper to commit before rolling it the other way into the net.
In the second half Chelsea kept their leg strong on the field as Costa made 3 for Chelsea after an exquisite finish into the top corner from 14 yards in 58th minute. The game was already over for Maccabi Tel Aviv but not for Chelsea fans. Fabregas drilled the ball in Maccabis net while attempting a counter attack in 78th minute. The game finally ended in 4-0 win for Chelsea.
With the win the worst run of Jose Mourinho’s career has ended and the victory will definitely resort the confidence in The Blues.
