21-year-old Kidambi Srikanth beat two-time Olympic champion Lin Dan to win china open

Kidambi Srikanth beat champion Lin Dan to win the China Open Super Series tournament on Sunday in Fuzhou . Srikanth clinch the title by defeating five time world champion by 21-19, 21-17 in the men’s singles final which lasted 46 minutes.
With the biggest win of his carrer he become the first Indian to won a Super Series tournament.
Srikanth won the Thailand Open Grand Prix Gold last year. This year he was a quarter-finalist in Malaysian Open and had also finished runners-up at the 2014 India Open Grand Prix Gold event in Lucknow.
Besides Srikanth’s win, Saina Nehwal beat Japan’s Akane Yamaguchi 21-12, 22-20 and clinch 3rd title of the year at the China Open. With this win she moved to number five in the world rankings.
