Novak Djokovic defeated Jarkko Nieminen of Finland on Centre Court

On the third day of Wimbledon 2015, Novak Djokovic defeated Jarkko Nieminen of Finland on Centre Court, 6-4, 6-2, 6-3. As the crowd applauded his win, Djokovic gave Nieminen a hug after hand-shaking conversation at the net. The Finnish man was playing in his last Wimbledon. Nieminen had defeated Lleyton Hewitt in the first round of the Wimbledon grass two days earlier.

Djokovic admired Nieminen, “I congratulate him on a terrific career and it was a pleasure to be his last opponent here.”

Australian Nick Kyrgios has beaten Juan Monaco 7-6, 6-3, 6-4 in his second round fixture of the Wimbledon. Throughout the match he showed stupendous shots, strokes and serves.
But, in the 12th game of the first set, he seemed to be struggling in the vicious heat, he complained the officials loudly by saying that, “my head is fucking exploding, mate, I don’t feel very well”. Later he said, “I’m in pain, and I’m playing a tennis match at Wimbledon, second round. So there’s a bit of stress out there.”

Serena Williams kept her winning streak along with a 6-4, 6-1 victory over Timea Babos of Hungary. Venus Williams also won her second round match against Yulia Putintseva of Kazakhstan by 7-6, 6-4. Maria Sharapova, passed through Richel HogenKamp of the Netherlands by defeating her by 6-3, 6-1.
