Heather Watson, 23-year-old, gave world no one a huge scare by winning six straight games in the second set after losing first set. British number one battled well in the second set before losing his third-round match at Wimbledon to Serena Williams. The match lasted for two hours and 15 minutes .The five time Wimbledon champion will play her elder sister Venus in the next round.

Watson said, “It was a tough, tough ask today. But I was super, super close. I think that’s what really hurts the most.I honestly didn’t think I was going to win,” Williams said. “How I pulled through, I really don’t know.I just was like, ‘listen, if I’m going to go lose, I’m going to lose trying to do the right things.”

Novak Djokovic needed only an hour and 32 minutes to dominate Bernard Tomic in the third round of Wimbledon 2015.

 

Maria Sharapova enters into the last 16 at Wimbledon 2015 with a straight sets victory against Irina-Camelia Begu.
