Nick Kyrgios is back with another controversy in the tennis world. After losing the first set to Stan Wawrinka in Thursday’s match at the Montreal Masters, he delivered a stunning on-court sledge to Stan Wawrinka by telling that an Australian player Thanasi Kokkinakis slept with his girlfriend.
According to reports Kyrgios’ comment was is in reference to 19-year-old Croatian player Donna Vekic. Vekic is also known as next Maria Sharapova.
Vekic has been in a relationship with Wawrinka since April, after the Swiss split from his wife Ilham Vuilloud, with whom he spent 10 years.

Vekic also has been friends with Kokkinakis for at least two years – and the pair have taken to the court together in the past. Thanasi Kokkinakis and Donna Vekic were also paired at the 2014 Australian Open.
An angry Wawrinka fired back on Twitter after the match
So disappointing to see a fellow athlete and colleague be so disrespectful in a way I could never even imagine. What was said I wouldn’t say to my worst enemy. To stop so low is not only unacceptable but also beyond belief. There is no need for this kind of behaviour on or off the court and I hope the governing body of this sport does not stand for this and stands up for the integrity of this sport that we have worked so hard to build.
