The Indo-Swiss pair surpassed Gigi Fernandez and Natasha Zvereva’s 1994 record of 28 straight victories and wanted to break the 1990’s duo record of 44 straight matches Jana Novotna and Helena Sukova.

They are aiming to win their second win of the 2016 together after winning in the Brisbane International last week. They clinched nine titles last year ending at the top ranked women’s doubles team.

Hinges said,”It’s good to have a tough test like this, this going into a Grand Slam. We don’t always play super tennis but we come out, find a solution and now we’re the best doubles pair in the world.”

Sania said,”It seems like a long time since we lost!. One of helps each other out all the time. Even when we want to break a racquet, we have to shake it off.”
