Mauresmo’s contract extended by two years

Now Dani Vallverdu will company Amelie Mauresmo her in coaching to Andy Murray, as her contract is extended by two years

A former world number one, Amelie Mauresmo will continue to combine her roles as coach to Andy Murray and captain of France’s Fed Cup team as the French Tennis Federation extended her contract by two years.

Mauresmo has been French Fed Cup captain since replacing Nicolas Escude in 2012 and started working with Murray in June. But later Murray announced that she had parted company with Dani Vallverdu, Who had been the member of the Scot’s coaching team for the past five years.

35-year-old Mauresmo will lead France in the semi-finals in April, with the Fed Cup final in November.

After his loss at ATP tour Finals to Roger Federer by 6-0 6-1. Murray said,”We sat down at the end of the season and decided that a change would be best for all of us.”
