The 31 year old Portuguese international has picked a knee injury in the final match of Euro 2016 against France following a brutal challenge.

He has recently recovered from his injury and is all set to play when Real will host Osasuna at Santiago Bernabéu on Saturday in the third round of the Spanish league. This is going to his first match after recovery and also for this season of La liga that started on 20 August 2016.

The injury sidelined him for two league matches but his absence hardly makes any difference as Real encountered victory in both of them. Ronaldo presence on the field has a huge impact on the minds of opponent team and also has an impact on his huge fan following who buy ticket just to watch him play.

The determination, his unmatchable passion and love for football can be ascertained from his message to his huge fan following on instagram. Soon after the injury the consummate professional Ronaldo said,”Hi everyone! I just wanted to thank all my fans,” in a video on his Instagram account.”I wanted to tell them that all is well and that I will come back much stronger. Thank you, long live Portugal!”

He left no stone unturned for his recovery. He was also caught in sweaters in 30 degree heat for his speedy recovery. Not only this, he worked hard to lose some body fat as well so as to minimize any pressure on his knees by having a leaner lower body. Seems his vow to turn back stronger is going to come true soon. All eyes are now set on Saturday’s game to see how fit he is after injury.

Zidane told a news conference on Friday: “He is back from his injury and happy to be with us. It is his first game, 60 days since his last game, so we must just give him time. He will play tomorrow.”
