Muller’s strike seals top spot for Germany in Group G

A healthy clash between Germany and USA took place on 26th june at Itaipava arena pernambuco. The match was going to be decisive for both the teams as both have equal points and equally deserving to go forward in last 16.

USA attacking intentions in the game and possession put a hard rock  for Germany to get through their goal . Muller who claimed the Golden Boot in South Africa four years ago and scored a hat-trick in Germany’s 4-0 opening win over Portugal ultimately gave germany 1-0 victory over USA by scoring at 55th minute of the game.
USA inspite of the defeat advances to last 16 as it was a tough call for Portugal having -4 goal difference to get them through in last 16. This is of the fact inspite of their 2-1 win over Ghana they forced out of the competetion.
Muller with his 4th goal of this tournament seals the top spot for germany in Group G.
