At the start of the 2017/18 season, almost every football site and pundit expected a tight title race between teams such as Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United. However Manchester City proved everyone wrong as they managed to storm to their third Premier League title, with a record breaking 100 points whilst also finishing 19 points clear of second place Manchester United. Not only did Manchester City break numerous records, they also played some of the most attractive football seen in England in a long time. Despite having very inconsistent results in the 2016/17 season, Pep Guardiola stuck to his famous philosophy and eventually got the results that was expected of him.

Manchester City may have stolen the headlines all season, but fans of other clubs had plenty of exciting moments during their seasons. Even if the football wasn’t as attractive as Manchester City’s, they still got to experience some sensational individual performances. Liverpool fans were treated to world class performances from Mohamed Salah almost every week as he enjoyed a very successful debut season for Liverpool. After spending a few seasons in Italy after a disappointing spell with Chelsea, Salah returned to the league in style, scoring 32 goals in the league and becoming the all-time goalscorer for a 38 game season. While Salah was firing in the goals for Liverpool, Kevin De Bruyne was providing the assists for his Manchester City team-mates. The Belgian playmaker is a key part of Pep Guardiola’s system, and has racked up an impressive number of assists during his spell with the club. Last season was no different as he managed to record 16 assists in 37 appearances whilst also scoring eight goals himself. His contributions help the team break the 100 point mark for the first time in English top-flight history.

Salah and De Bruyne are just two of the players which managed to put in a number of impressive performances throughout the Premier League season. A large number of these players will also be participating at the World Cup. In this quiz it is your job to figure out how many players from each club will be playing at the World Cup.
