Diego Costa’s hamstring injury a big fear for Mourinho

Blues fears of its attack line with Costa’s hamstring injury and Didier Drogba’s ankle injury

Diego Costa a summer transfer move to Chelsea is currently top goal scorer in the league this season. However after the return from international duty he was suspected hamstring Injury. Costa has been suffering with hamstring problems since the end of last season, but played 172 minutes in Spain’s Euro 2016 qualifiers against Slovakia and Luxembourg.

He was called for early treatment this week and could be ruled out for the next three weeks. Didier Drogba blues second striker is still struggling with an ankle injury, which leaves Loic Remy as Chelsea’s only fully fit striker ahead of Saturday’s trip to Crystal Palace.

This leaves manager Jose Mourinho with the fear of a striker crisis ahead of clash against Crystal Palace on Saturday. The current hamstring problem and ongoing treatment of Costa may spare him for the match against Manchester United.

Mourinho said ,“Yes. The Spanish team played in Luxembourg on Sunday. I gave them Diego, Fabregas and Azpilicueta.”
“I gave them two days off, Monday and Tuesday, so they had to report to train on Wednesday at 3pm. And Diego was here Monday at 9am. So you can imagine how strong he was to be here at 9am on Monday.”
