Chennaiyin FC join FC Goa in the finals of the Indian Super League (ISL)

The defending champion Atletico de Kolkata gave Chennaiyin FC a tough compitition as they won 2-1 at the Salt Lake Stadium in the Indian Super League (ISL) semi-last second leg on Wednesday. But, they eventually succumbed to a 4-2 defeat on aggregate.

Dejan Lekic opened the scoring for the home side in the 22nd minute befor Iain Hume’s strike set up a show off completion in the end stages. Chennain striker Fikru Tefera seal his side’s advancement by scoring an away gaol in the extra time of the second half.

ISL Season 2 semifinal The achievement for the home side came in the 22nd moment when Mendy’s powerless header towards Edel was captured by Lekic and the Serbian committed no error in discovering the back of the net. The home side led by 1-0 at half-time.

In the second half, Iain Hume scored a phenomenal goal in the 87th minute with a quick one-two with Lekic saw Hume’s left footed volleyed effort find the top corner.
Fikru pulled one back for Chennai in the second leg extra time and fainted all the hopes of Atletico to defend the title.

Fc Goa and Chennaiyin Fc will meet for the final clash of Indian Super League on 20th December ,2015 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium (Fatorda Stadium), Margao, Goa.
