Anthony Martial heads to Manchester United

Manchester united is set to complete the signing of Anthony Martial

 

The 19-year-old Monaco Forward who has been linked with Arsenal is set to join Manchester United for transfer fees of £36m. He is expected to leave the France squad on Monday to travel for a medical with The Reds Devils.

Martial who scored eight goals in 31 Ligue1 appearances last season is set to be United’s third most expensive signing after Angel Di Maria (£59.7m) and Juan Mata (£37.1m).

The move was confirmed in a statement from French Football Federation that reads, “Anthony Martial asked France coach Didier Deschamps for permission to travel to England to sign a contract with Manchester United.”

Martial started his career at Lyon, making his professional debut in December 2012 and joined Monaco in June 2013 for around £3.5m. He made just three appearances before joining Monaco in the summer of 2013. Martial scored two goals in 15 appearances in his first season at Monaco and 11 in 42 last season.

Although £36m seems to be an over bid for player like Anthony martial who found the net just 8 times in 31 Ligue 1 appearances last season but Van Gaal believed it as a worthy transfer.
