Injured pacer Mohammed Shami ruled out of Sri Lanka ODIs

Indian medium-pacer and Bengal pacer Mohammed Shami has been ruled out of the five One Day international series against Sri Lanka starting on November 2 due to injury. Shami, who is currently a key bowler of an Indian team and also has been a regular bowler for India who leads the bowling attack in depth overs.

Shami was the most successful bowler in the recently concluded ODI series against West Indies, bagging 10 wickets in just three matches. The Sri Lanka series begins on November 2, with the Cuttack ODI.

Dhawal Kulkarni, a medium-pacer has replaced by injured Mohammed Shami for the first three one day matches against Sri Lanka lead by Virat kohli announced by BCCI. Kulkarni, who is part of the Indian Premier League side Rajasthan Royals, made his ODI debut against England in Birmingham in September.

Kulkarni perform well in the Duleep trophy quarter-final against East Zone by taking 7 wickets of 90 runs in the game. Before that, in the warm-up One-Dayers against the West Indians, he had taken four wickets in two matches.
