PCB: Saqlain Mushtaq get Rs 1 million per month

Karachi: Pakistan’s former legend spinner Saqlain Mushtaq will be paid 1 million Rupees per month by PCB  for helping the suspended Pakistan off spinner Saeed Ajmal, who undergo the biomechanics test held in Brisbane and was failed during his test taken by the ICC. Saqlain is being asked to work on Ajmal bowling action by PCB.

Saqlain, who remains one of the top spinners produced in Pakistan cricket. Saqlain played 49 Test matches and 169 One Day Internationals (ODIs) for Pakistan, between 1995 and 2004. He took 208 Tests and 288 ODIs wickets. He also scored Test Match century, against New Zealand, in March 2001. Saqlain was the quickest bowler in history of ODI to reach 100 wickets.

“Besides the one million rupees fees, the PCB will bear all expenses on the biomechanic tests Saeed will undergo further while Saqlain will also be provided accommodation and other perks,” the source said.

“He was advised by the cricket board to not play in domestic cricket and instead work on his action with former Pakistan spinner, Saqlain Mushtaq who reaches Lahore on September 21st,” a PCB source told PTI.
