James Anderson, England seam bowler has been ruled out of 5 test match series against India commencing next month. He also missed the two tests against Pakistan due to the injury. The shoulder injury which ruled him out of the Bangladesh tour cost him to not found his place in 16 man squad against India.

Another seam bowler Mark Wood, is also not included in the squad. Stuart Broad, Ben Stokes, Steven Finn, Ball and Chris Woakes will lead the pace attack in their absence. Meanwhile spin attack is in the hands of Rashid and Moeen Ali.

Last series against India was won by England by 2-1 in 2012-13 in which Anderson played the key role in bowling attack, grabbed 6 wickets in the third test match at Eden Gardens and bagged the man of the match award in final test match at Nagpur.

Anderson, who has 473 wickets under his belt in 119 matches.
