Cricket: The clash of two Titans

Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) and Rest of the World XI will clash on July 5, 2014 at the Home of Cricket — Lord’s to commemorate the Bicentenary Celebration of Lord’s. The MCC team will be lead by Sachin Tendulkar while the Rest of the World XI will be lead by Australia legendary leg-spinner Shane Warne. The Lord’s completes 200 years. Lord’s hosted its first match between MCC and Hertfordshire on June 22, 1814.

The MCC team led by Tendulkar comprises of his fellow Indian teammate Rahul Dravid, two legends of West Indies, Brian Lara and Shivnairne Chanderpaul, Brett Lee and Daniel Vettori. On the other hand, the Warne-led Rest of the World XI comprises of Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, spin Master Muttiah Muralitharan, Adam Gilchrist, Kevin Pietersen and others.

The match will be telecast on Sky Sports for the UK audience while in India it will be telecast by Star Sports. The official website of Lord’s will host the radio commentary which will be accessible all over the world.
