Saina and Srikanth advances to second round

Saina Nehwal and Kidambi Srikanth advances to second round of Malaysia Open

Current world no.1 shuttler Saina Nehwal and Kidambi Srikanth stepped up to the second round of Malaysia Open at the Putra Stadium.

Saina crossed the first round after defeating Indonesian Maria Febe Kudumastuti 21-13, 21-16. Kidambi Srikanth smashed Englishman Rajiv Ouseph 21-10, 15-21, 24-22 in the first round.

Both players who are in superb form after winning India Open Badminton championship looking forward to clinch the $500,000 Malaysia Open too.

Saina will face Chinese qualifier Xue Yao while Srikanth will face Indonesian qualifier Dionysius Hayom Rumbaka in the second round of the tournament.
