Malaysia’s Lee Chong Wei speaks to media during a news conference in Bangkok on Nov 21, 2014 and confirmed that he will be suing former Malaysian national player Razif Sidek and a Malay daily newspaper for the allegations that he was involved in doping.

According to Straitstimes, Lee told to The Star Online on Tuesday that, “The allegations are not true. Just because I have a doping case now, you can’t simply say anything. Does he have any proof to justify his claims?

Razif had claimed in the newspaper report that Lee had been using banned substances for a long time and also claimed that Badminton Association Malaysia officials were also aware of it.

Lee Chong Wei is temporarily suspended by the BWF from competing in any international tournaments after his urine sample showed traces of banned substance dexamethasone at the World Championships in August .According to Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) deputy president Datuk Norza Zakaria the World Badminton Federation (WBF) has set the hearing for Dec 8.
