Lee Chong Wei provisionally suspended for doping

Badminton World Federation provisionally suspended Lee Chong Wei for an “apparent” anti-doping violation.

The world No one could face an eventual suspension of up to two years after testing positive to the banned anti-inflammatory dexamethasone.

Lee told the press, “If I am suspended for a long time, it will affect my chances of becoming a world champion next year and also win the Olympic gold medal in 2016.
It has always been my dream to win both titles. It is also the reason why I took up the sport.”

China’s badminton superstar Lin Dan said,“I hope that this great player comes back to the court as soon as possible. Not only does Malaysia need him, but the whole badminton world needs him.”
“I hope Lee’s scandal isn’t real.I still want to see the Lin-Lee rivalry, those games always bring great fun for the fans.”Lin said.
